My dog is very small, which products are most suitable?
As our message is intended to be as clear as possible, we keep embroidery to a certain height. This means items such as the collars or bandana are likely going to be too large for our smallest dog friends. We highly recommend the xs soft vest harness or even the small coat instead - please refer to the fitting guide if you are unsure.
My dog is very strong and pulls on the lead, which products are most suitable?
Oh my friend, we sympathise! Too often pet products have a reduced life because they are not made to withstand the realities of dog management. For you, we recommend any of the collars, leads and the anchor strap harness. A bandana can even add a little flair! We would avoid the soft vest harness for dogs who pull.
What is the best combination for visibility?
Our behaviourist recommends having one message at your own wait height (i.e. a lead) and at least one message on your dog. The combination of the two really helps more people notice that something is different about you...
Where should I use my Friendly Dog Collar gear?
Everywhere! But it is especially appreciated in dog populated areas. Our behaviourist recommends putting them on your dog for vet visits, grooming appointments, training sessions and walks. These are the times when it will be most helpful to you to have your dog's needs seen.
What if people don't pay attention?
It's so difficult navigating the world with a pet who has particular needs and requires extra support. We would love to have the power to change that for you in a product.
